Rugby Bradford Bulls

The Bradford Bulls have established themselves as one of the most successful teams in Super League and have been crowned champions four times since 1997.

New Zealander Robbie Paul led the Bulls in their most successful season in 2003 when they became the first team to win the treble. That season the Bulls finished top of the League after 28 games and lifted the League Leaders' Shield before going on to win the Challenge Cup and Super League Grand Final.

As well as boasting a host of big-name players, including brothers Robbie and Henry Paul, Jamie Peacock and Leon Pryce, the club gave Brian Noble his coaching debut – and how he has repaid them.

During his five years at the helm between 2001 and 2006, Noble guided the Bulls to three Grand Final successes (in 2001, 2003 and 2005), the Challenge Cup in 2003 and three World Club Championships (in 2002, 2004 and 2006).

Indeed, Bradford are a club who have enjoyed success over their history since their formation in 1863.

In 1884 Bradford won the Yorkshire Challenge Cup Trophy, while between 1880 and 1895 they became one of the country's most successful rugby clubs, supplying players to Yorkshire and England.

In fact, in 1895, Bradford were one of the 22 clubs who broke away from the Rugby Football Union after an historic meeting at The George Hotel in Huddersfield and who went on to form the Northern Rugby Union.

The club disbanded during 1963-64 and reformed for the start of 1964-65. They were renamed Bradford Bulls from the start of the 1995-96 season.
